Fees and Insurance

Insurance:

I currently accept Molina, Aetna, Regence, Kaiser, United Healthcare, Cigna, and Premera. Please note that insurance claims are not verified by billing until AFTER the first appointment. Please be sure to call and double check with your insurance company regarding your specific plan and co-pays and confirm that services will be covered. If a claim is not accepted by your insurance, you will be responsible for paying for the session fee out of pocket.

Rates:

If you do not have/would not like to use insurance, I also accept self-pay. I utilize an income-based sliding scale ranging from $100-$165 per session for individuals, and $160-225 for partners. If you elect to self-pay, we will decide on this session fee prior to an initial session and you will be provided a “Good Faith Estimate.”

Cancellation Fee:

If you need to cancel a session, I ask that you let me know 24 hours in advance. If you no-show, attempt to start an appointment more that 10 minutes late, or cancel within 24 hours of the session, you will be charged a “no-show/late cancelation fee” of $50. This will be an out-of-pocket fee as insurance companies do not reimburse for no-shows or late cancellations. This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and held exclusively for you. If you have 2+ no-show/late cancels in a row, it is possible that you may lose your session time slot.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers must provide patients who don’t have insurance or are not using insurance an estimate of their expected bill for medical services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes mental health services. Please double check that you have been sent a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your appointment.

  • You can also ask your health care provider and any other provider you choose for a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling an item or service. If you receive a bill at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
